Grants are meant to improve cycling and safety in Ventura County and beyond. Grants are provided to:
  • Promote bicycling
  • Encourage youth cycling
  • Support non-profit bicycle advocacy organizations
  • Financially assist bicycle infrastructure in public spaces
  • Advocate for safe cycling through training and improved infrastructure
CIBike grant funds come from our annual and awesome Cool Breeze Century Ride in August.

Grant General Guidelines
CIBike provides grants to benefit governmental and non-profit organizations that support bicycling in Ventura County and beyond.

CIBike has a long history of supporting a variety of bicycle-positive programs and projects, such as:
  • the San Antonio Creek bridge on the Ojai-Ventura River bike path
  • bicycle safety training in schools
  • BikeVenturaCounty, the primary local bicycle advocacy organization
  • local, state, and national bicycle advocacy organizations
  • helmets, lights, and bikes for organizations that support disadvantaged youth, low-income working adults, and wounded veterans.

Grants are limited to $3,000 per organization unless the CIBike Board determines that the benefits of the request are substantial and warrant a greater contribution.

CIBike, as a 501(c)4 non-profit, can provide funds in support of bicycling to non-profit and governmental organizations.  We cannot provide direct financial support to individuals or businesses. 

CIBike co-sponsors the Cool Breeze Century Bike ride every August. We do not financially support other fund-raising bicycle events by other groups.

Grant applications are accepted at any time.  However, funds are limited and applications early in the year are more likely to be successful.
