- Ventura River Bike Path Ribbon Cutting Ceremony -

Our wonderful Ventura River Path was refurbished with new asphalt, trees, fencing, lighting and lane painting....as well as a beautiful mural. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on September 13th, 2024.

 - 12th Annual Solvang Spring Fling Photos -

Our yearly Solvang Spring Fling was a great success as we biked in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley area from April 19-21, 2024 with our headquarters at Flying Flags RV Resort in Buellton, California.

- Rincon Fire Station Holiday Gifting - 

President Diane arrived to present Holiday Gifts to the Rincon Fire Station for their efforts in allowing all of our club members to access their wonderful restrooms. 

- Holiday Dinner Party 2023 -

Our Annual Holiday Dinner Party was very much a success. The Board of Directors honored those that served the club this past year while enjoying a fantastic meal at the Courtyard Marriott in Oxnard. Thanks to Ron Parker for the photos. 

-Pismo Beach Turkey Trot Bike Week Photos-

The "1st Pismo Beach Turkey Trot Bike Week" was held on the California Central Coast for four days of beautiful rural biking with club members. Here are upcoming photos of that event attended by 19 members.
Day 1, Monday November 27th: Oceano, Arroyo Grande to Husana Township. 
Day 2, Tuesday November 28th: Oceano, Arroyo Grande, Lake Lopez to Edna Valley.
Day 3, Wednesday November 29th: SLO, Morro Bay, Baywood, & Los Osos. 
Day 4, Thursday, November 30th: ​Shell Beach, SLO, & Pismo Beach.

-Santa Claus Lane Bikeway Grand Opening Ceremony Photos-

On Wednesday, November 8, 2023 the NEW "Santa Claus Lane Bikeway" was officially opened at the west end of Carpinteria connecting Santa Claus Lane and downtown Carpinteria on a very safe and beautiful bike path. Lots of CIBike Club Members attended this event while biking from the Mission Parking Lot in Ventura. Also, here are the official SBCAG photos of the event.

-Goathead Cleanup on Santa Ana Road-

Thanks to all of our hardworking club members that volunteered to remove Tumbleweeds from our favorite biking area on Santa Ana Road near Lake Casitas. It was a very hot day doing a dirty job. But fun was had by all at the free Taco Feed afterwards at the Ventura Pier on Wednesday, August 12th.

-Bike & Bird Club Ride Photo Album-

A very enthusiastic group braved the cold in December to participate in the very successful "Bike & Bird Ride". Thanks to Steve Light for his wonderful "Bike & Bird Photo Album."

-19th Annual Lure of the Grapes Photo Album-

Our Annual Lure of the Grapes Biking Weekend was a great success thanks to Tom Stark at our new location for 2019 in Sacramento, California. Sixteen members participated in the very flat delta rides throughout the Sacramento, Davis, Woodland, Folsom and Walnut Grove areas. Click on "Lure Photo Album" to few the many fun photos. - Adventure Cycling Visit, Ride & Presentation -

​Awesome day with Jim Sayer, Adventure Cycling. On Wednesday, January 9th we started with a bike ride "up the coast" (Ventura to Carpinteria) on the coast bike path and checked out the planned bike/ped bridge to connect the path to the Carpinteria frontage road. Perfect morning. We then met with business and bike tourism supporters at Ventura City Hall. This was followed by a very fun and motivational program at the Museum of Ventura County with almost 100 people in attendance.

-21st Annual Holiday Dinner & Board Installation Party-

Our "Annual Holiday Dinner & Board Installation Party" was a great success as witnessed by over 50 club members. Fun was had by all at the beautiful Saticoy Country Club in the middle of December. Click on "Ron's Dinner Photos" to see more fun pics. 

-6th Edition LA Bike & Train Ride-

 Well our "6th Edition LA Bike & Train Ride" was a success on Wednesday, November 7th. We ventured from Moorpark's Metrolink Train Station to Union Station in downtown LA on 30 miles of separated bike trails, 20 miles of bike lanes while having lunch at the famous Porto's Bakery in downtown Burbank. Join us again next spring for a wonderfully surprising adventure thru Los Angeles. Head over to our "About Us" and "Photo Gallery" for viewing all of the photos. 

- Rose Valley 30 Miler Adventure -

Wow, what a great day to bike the "Rose Valley 30 Mile Adventure" from Ojai to the Rose Valley Summit on Highway 33. Eight riders were lucky to participate on a glorious morning of biking. Head to Steve Lights Album for more photos.

- Cool Breeze Volunteer Staff Rides-

A week before the official Cool Breeze Century Rides our volunteers and staff are lucky enough to ride the route while having SAG support and lunch furnished. It was warm but spiced with cool ocean breezes on a wonderful Sunday ride with great friends in a beautiful locations such as Carpinteria, Montecito, Santa Barbara and Goleta. Thanks to Diane Stein and Linda Bott for all their great organization!

- 1st Edition Hot August Nights Ride -

When the temps go up, the club gets going. Going on our "1st Edition Hot August Night Rides." Eight members headed from Ventura up the Ojai Bike Path to Papa Lennon's in Meiners Oaks for a fun meal outside in their patio before heading back into the coolness of Ventura under a full moon in darkness on Thursday, July 27.

- Tour of California Expo Booths -

The City of Ventura was lucky to have been awarded the start location for the 2018 Tour of California bike race. Along with that honor came the chance to spread the good word about the Channel Islands Bike Club. Here are a few photos of our club volunteers at the ride start on Monday, May 14, 2018. 

- 5th Edition LA Bike & Train Ride -
​April 26, 2018

Our "5th Edition LA Bike & Train Ride" was very successful. Sixteen club members headed out from Moorpark's Metrolink Train Station on 31 miles of protected bike paths and 20 miles of bike lanes to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. Check with some of our riders to get their point of view concerning this event!

- Tour of California Club Meeting/Presentation -
​April 11, 2018

This was our April 11th club meeting at the Ventura County Museum. 
It was a roaring success. 80+ came to learn about Amgen Tour of California from the inside. Excellent turnout for dinner at Capriccio’s as well.

- 8th Annual Solvang Spring Fling -
April 6,7,8 2018

Our 8th Annual Solvang Spring Fling club biking weekend was so fun, despite the rain event we had on Saturday morning. A mighty group biked the Los Alamos 50 Miler on Friday and then gathered for the Flying Flags RV BBQ dinner in the evening. We modified our activities on Saturday, due to morning rain, and enjoyed our Taco Nite for dinner. Sunday turned out to be a wonderfully beautifully clear day for biking into Los Olivos and Neverland Ranch. Check out the many photos by click on "About Us" above and then "Photo Gallery."

- Montreal to Quebec Fall Colors Presentation -

At our monthly club meeting, in the Courtyard Marriott Hotel - Oxnard, a wonderful slideshow presentation by Dick Bellman, with the help of Diane Stein, was shown to a packed house. Cycling with friends on planned group vacations is always so much fun as experienced by eighteen lucky club bikers.

February 5, 2018

Our special ride into the Santa Monica Mountains was a great success. Eleven club members ventured from Westlake Village to Lake Malibou, King Gillette Ranch State Park, Old Town Calabasas, Pedaler's Fork, and Stonehaus Winery. The day was spectacular, although a bit warm on our way back. Join us in the fall for another ride to this famous biker's haven in Old Town Calabasas. Click on "Pedalers Fork Photos."

- Ventura Bike Hub Thomas Fire Bike Give Away -
​January 28, 2018

With the fantastic charity efforts of Giant Bicycles, Ventura Bike Hub and the Channel Islands Bike Club victims from the recent Thomas Fire will be able to get free bicycles. Over 30 volunteers showed up to assemble over 100 bikes with helmets. Read the "VCStar Newspaper Article."

- 1st Annual Sulphur Mountain Gravel Grinder -
​January 2018

Our new "Rides Coordinator" Sonia Sandomer started the New Year right. She inserted a new club ride, the "Sulphur Mountain Gravel Grinder" which departed from the Mission Parking Lot and ventured up the mountain into Ojai before heading back downhill into Ventura. - CIBike Monthly Dinner Meeting -

Our monthly Dinner Meetings are always a success in that we pass on information that club members may not be aware of. The Ventura Bike Hub presentation showed the impact that a small local business has on the biking community in Ventura.

The "20th Annual Holiday Dinner Party" was so much fun. The Saticoy Country Club served as our location for socializing, dining and club presentations. The City of Ventura has been selected as a host city for he 2018 Tour of California. Ventura will be the start location for this famous cycling event on Monday, May 14th. The bikers will leave Ventura and head to the top of Gibraltar Road
