Today, Leslie's newsletter reported the good news of the City of Ventura demonstrating its support for cyclists , pedestrians   , and  motorists,  by employing Street Calming practices to Ventura's Main Street. 

 Apparently, these changes with the accolades of Ventura's downtown Business Community. 

Such consideration should be supported by our alternative transportation / recreation community. 

An idea, in keeping with Socially Responsible methods, why not advocate for a downtown social hour after some kind of  socially responsible club ride. Why always  demonstrate our loyalty to cities other than where we live. ?

Make our presence known by wearing club jerseys and demonstrate our appreciation of our downtown merchants by using their services as a group. ? At least once in awhile.
