Hello Simon.  Yes, Ventura will be a Stage Start on Monday, May 14.  Leslie and I are on the Local Organizing Committee and we will be putting out a call for Volunteers.  Ventura is committed to providing approximately 200 volunteers to launch the racers.

We will be able to see the riders up close at the start.  Those who wish will have time to head up to Santa Barbara and watch the finish on Gibraltar.  May 14 will be a very memorable day.

We are also talking with the City about a family fun bike ride the day before the Amgen race.  Probably from the pier to the Harbor and back.  More info to come.
