• ·       Cyclists Ride Free on VCTC – From May 16-20, anyone who brings a bike on board a blue VCTC bus can ride for free! More info here and here.

• ·       Pledge and Win Prizes – People who pledge to ride their bike to work from May 16-20 will be entered into our Bike Week drawing. Prizes include a Fitbit, a portable GPS device, 3 $100 VISA gift cards and a $500 gift certificate for a new bike! Cyclists can pledge online here.

• ·       Pit Stops – VCTC will host pit stops during Bike Week to support riders on their way to work. Pedal over to enjoy refreshments, free bike tune-ups and fun giveaways at locations in Ventura, Oxnard and Thousand Oaks. Event details here.

• ·       Social Media Photo Contest – Post a photo of yourself and your bike to Facebook or Instagram and tag VCTC by Friday, May 20, and you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a commuter-friendly folding bike. Find VCTC on Facebook (@goventura) and Instagram (@Go_VCTC).

To help people in the community promote Bike Week and encourage their friends, families and co-workers to participate, we’ve created a number of outreach tools, including fliers, posters, email templates and graphics to share on social media. All of these tools are available on VCTC’s Bike Week Hub: www.goventura.org/rideshare.
