Hello bike friends,

We will be leading an epic bike ride in southern Colorado.  You are invited to join us.

This ride is based on a CIBike tour originated by Jim Teshima over 20 years ago.  Kate rode it then and liked it very much. Now we plan to lead it through the Bicycle Adventure Club (BAC).

The ride, “Colorado’s Extraordinary San Juan Skyway”, begins and ends in Durango, Colorado. It is a 10-day tour in early June 2027.  The ride is high elevation and features panoramic mountain scenery, iconic western mining towns, geologic wonders, and ancient human history. 

We average approximately 50 miles per day and start at 6,500’ elevation.  The first two days are easy; allowing time to acclimate.  Arriving a day early will give you both additional time to adjust and explore historic Durango.

BAC is a travel bicycle club with over 2,000 members.  The club’s motto is “Friends leading Friends”. Ride leaders are unpaid club volunteers.
