Highway 150 slide footpath opens

    A pedestrian trail is now open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. to provide access between Ojai and Santa Paula, along Highway 150 at Bridge Road, just north of Santa Paula. The highway has been cut off for both traffic and pedestrians since a landslide blocked the road Feb. 21, 2024. Photos, courtesy of Randy N.

    Thanks for the pics.  Several of us rode the route clockwise today.  It was beautiful and temperatures were ideal.
    The CalTrans bypass is very good.  By going CW, gravity helped us carry our bikes down the stairs.  I was told that today’s CCW group (they had to climb the stairs) also had a very nice ride.  

    Either way, the traffic on Highway 150 is much reduced and the route is safer than before the slide.

    Great ride today Ojai Santa Paula clockwise.  Everyone felt it was safe crossing the pedestrian walkway and stairs.  Very little traffic due to the closure.
