Itinerary:

Day 1 (Friday, Oct 18): Drive to Sacramento. Group happy hour and planning meeting in the evening (and all evenings) followed by walking to dinner at nearby restaurants.

Day 2(Saturday, Oct. 19) Ride to Davis stopping at a large open air farmers market with an option of visiting a bike museum next door. We then continue on to Woodland for lunch, and ride back to Sacramento via the river road. (The route used by the Amgen Tour)

Day 3 (Sunday, Oct 20) Ride through Sacramento on a sight-seeing tour of the City with many stops at various tourist attractions and a little history for good measure.

Day 4 (Monday, Oct 21) Ride the famous American River Bike Trail from Discovery Park to Folsom Lake. We will have lunch in Folsom and return will a slightly modified route but mostly on the American River Trail.

Day 5 (Tuesday, Oct 22) Tuesday we will ride south along the Sacramento River to the town of Locke and have lunch at a famous place called Al the Wops.

The rides are all mostly flat and can be done at a leisurely pace. This trip has been done by a number of club riders and has excellent reviews.

If you plan to attend there are two thing to do: a) make your hotel reservation and b) sign-up for this event at cibike.org after September 1.
