3 Foot Law: Get the Word Out
3 foot poster image

The Three Feet for Safety Law that CalBike worked to push through went into effect on Tuesday, and the news media seem to be just as excited about it as we are. So far, we’ve counted 26 articles in media outlets statewide! We are delighted: an enthusiastic media response is the key to educating motorists and bicyclists about the law -- and this law can only succeed if people know about it!

You can help spread the word too: order your “I Give 3 Feet” bumper stickers and window clings, and “Give Me 3” bike stickers. Use the tag #IGive3Ft or #GiveMe3 in social media to tell your friends the importance of passing safely. And check out our FAQ to make sure you understand the ins and outs of the law.
