It is our goal to have all riders educated in being safe on the road where cars rule.

CIBC is primarily a road cycling club where people meet to ride their bikes and make friends with like-minded people.

Safety on the Road

Be Visible!!

  1. Wear Bright Colored Jerseys or Jackets during the day
  2. Wear reflective clothing with front headlight and blinking, white front headlight. Also have a blinking rear taillights on bike and on back of helmet.

Be Predictable!!

  1. Ride in a straight line at right side of lane.
  2. If more than one cyclist ride in a single file.

Signal Your Intentions!!

      1. Use traditional car signals.
        1. Left hand up for right turn.
        2. Left hand out for left turns.
        3. Left hand down for slowing.
      2. OR Point in the direction you are going.
        1. Right hand point to right for right turn.
        2. Left hand point left for left turn.
