Yes, we're ready to register for next year NOW! It was a great ride,
and I've already put it in my 2011 calendar. This year we did the
metric on a recumbent tandem trike (see picture). If you had seen
us, you probably would have noticed...I think we were the only ones!
Next year, we'll do the full century.
I am riding the California Coast Classic (Arthritis Ride) in five
weeks from now (not on the tandem). There were quite a number of us
on the Cool Breeze, as it is the perfect warmup for our big event.
I'm sure this will be true next year, too.
I only heard today of the accident on the freeway. Yikes! I still
don't quite know how it happened, but I'm glad the women didn't have
life-threatening injuries.
I thought your ride was extremely well organized, and clearly you all
have major influence with the weather. :-)
Plus, this being my first century...hey, loved the bumper sticker,
ringing the bell and I got a nice round of applause, especially from
my wife and three-year-old daughter. Now I just need to find a
proper place of honor for the patch. I have two options, and it's a
real dilemma...
Keep up the good work, and see you next year!
Joel (I'm the guy on the back of the tandem)
Did my first Century yesterday, and got the "Cool Breeze" sticker to prove it.
Just wanted to thank you all for a very well-organized, enjoyable ride.
Lots of good food with helpful, friendly folk at the rest stops.
Beautiful scenery and no hassles.
Thanks!

My wife had signed up for the Cool Breeze Century and at the last minute I decided to go too, and signed up for the metric century. I just started riding in April and it was by far the farthest I’ve ridden to date. So it was definitely a challenge. But the route was beautiful, the volunteers were super nice, and the support was really great. I’m looking forward to wearing my very cool jersey, and we are definitely planning to come back next year. Many thanks for a great cycling experience!

Thank you for all your wonderful volunteers that helped put on the Cool Breeze of 2010 which was my 1st century. I'd like to thank the person who fixed my bike at the Stowe Grove park lunch stop as it made the rest of my ride possible. And also at that point in the ride, another volunteer helped talk me into going on and not giving up. Knowing that the SAG support was there if I just couldn't finish was Very comforting so all I had to do was resign myself to being on my saddle and enjoy the wonderful scenery.
Oh, also let the technician person know
that I got a new chain as he recommended.
Thanks again for helping to make my 62nd Birthday extra special.
Where do I sign up for next year!!!!

This was my first Century ride, and I want to applaud CIBC, the Kiwanis, and all the great volunteers for a great experience. The SAG car support was fantastic, and I really appreciated the friendliness of the volunteers at each stop. I can't wait for next year's ride!
